Inside the forthcoming guide
Less “fix your life.”
More “come sit with me.”
You don’t need another person telling you what to do. Sometimes you just need an honest conversation with someone who’s been there.
This guide grows out of the stories and lessons I share with you. Warm encouragement, a little blunt honesty, and room to hear yourself again.
Coffee or cocktails. Your call.
You count, too.
If you’ve spent years considering everyone else’s needs, let’s make a little room for yours. Your happiness isn’t a small thing.
Peace doesn’t need a villain.
You don’t need someone else to be the bad guy to want a different ending. A relationship can be unfulfilling without a dramatic betrayal.
Starting over isn’t failing.
Independence, living alone, finding your feet again. Being alone and being lonely are two very different things. We can talk about both.
A note from your bestie
My life isn’t perfect.
But it finally feels like mine.

Charlotte Hancey · Author
I was married for 24 years. There was no cheating, abuse, or dramatic scandal behind the end of my marriage. We were simply no longer compatible, and I was unhappy.
For years, I thought something terrible had to happen before I had a good enough reason to leave. I spent so much time being a wife, raising my children, and considering everyone else’s needs that I stopped considering my own.
Looking back, I can see how much of myself I had abandoned. Choosing myself wasn’t selfish. My happiness mattered. My peace mattered. I mattered.
This is where the guide begins. With my experience, and with a little space for you to consider yours.

Personal experience and encouragement. This guide isn’t therapy, legal advice, or a recommendation to leave a relationship.

You were reason enough.
You still are.
You don’t have to know what comes next to start listening to yourself. Let’s make a little space for that conversation.
